Design 24 Imperial Clear Softwood Casement Vent Windows - Factory Glazed Toughened Glass

This range of premium quality factory glazed toughened glass clear softwood windows feature side hung sash windows and top hung vents, Manufactured from engineered softwood with knot-free over-veneers making this range of casement vent windows ideal for a wood stain finish. Constructed with combed joints for rigidity, the window frames have a one-piece head and a two-piece sill without horns, this ensures that the clear softwood casement vent windows keep their shape, strength and performance qualities.

This range of Imperial casement vent windows are supplied with clear toughened 24mm double glazed low emission sealed units. Toughened Obscure Cotswold glazing is available at no extra cost, please specify when ordering. The clear softwood frames are supplied with a `honey` stain primed finish.

All timber used in the manufacture of Design 24 windows conforms to BSEN942: 1996 for classification of timber as follows:
Class J10 for beads.
Class J40 for sashes.
Class J50 for frames.
Design 24 casement windows are manufactured in general accordance with BS644: Part 1: 2003 for construction specification.

All softwood materials used are environmentally accredited 100% European softwood. Manufacturing takes place in a factory with environmental Chain Of Custody certificate SA-COC-1483.

All timber is vacuum preservative treated and comes with a 30 year manufactures warranty against rot and fungal decay. All arises (corners) are rounded to ensure even coverage of finishing coats. To meet the robust requirements of the Building Regulation Part L the `R` sub sill is supplied as standard (90mm projection = 157mm overall).

Sashes and vents are manufactured with a 15mm x 42mm wide glazing rebate which meets NHBC regulations, and allows for 24mm glazing units. Glazing beads are provided as standard 12mm x 15mm, and the sill bead comes complete with nylon spacers fitted to provide a drained and vented glazing system. All externally beaded factory glazed toughened units carry a 10 year manufactures guarantee. Factory fitted 24mm toughened glazing conform to BS952: Part 1: 1995; BS5713: 1994 and BS6206: Class A: 1994 or BSEN12600.

Vent and casement windows are tested for weather tightness and meet the requirements of BS6375: Part 1: 2004 for severe weather rating. Brown weather strips are fitted as standard to crate a watertight seal. Storm-proof butt hinges are supplied as standard with reflex hinge upgrades available.

Imperial clear softwood toughened glass windows are supplied with ventilators to assist in compliance with section F1 1995 Building Regulations. Ventilators are white and easily removed for decorating.
