Imperial Casement Windows - Factory Glazing Toughened Glass

This range of factory glazed toughened glass vent windows feature top hung vent windows over direct glazing. Alpha windows are manufactured from premium quality redwood and constructed with combed joints for rigidity, they have a one-piece head and a two-piece sill without horns, this ensures that the vent window keep its shape, strength and performance qualities.

This range of Imperial toughened glass glazed vent windows are supplied with low emission clear toughened 24mm double glazing. Toughened obscure Cotswold glazing is available at no extra cost, please specify when ordering. The Redwood timber frames are supplied with a `honey` stain primed finish.

All timber used in the manufacture of Design 24 windows conforms to BSEN942: 1996 for classification of timber as follows: Class J10 for beads. Class J40 for sashes. Class J50 for frames. Design 24 windows are manufactured in general accordance with BS644: Part 1: 2003 for construction specification.

All softwood materials used are environmentally accredited 100% European Redwood. Manufacturing takes place in a factory with environmental Chain Of Custody certificate SA-COC-1483.

All timber is vacuum preservative treated and come with a 30 year manufactures warranty against rot and fungal decay. All arises (corners) are rounded to ensure even coverage of finishing coats. To meet the robust requirements of the Building Regulation Part L the `R` sub sill is supplied as standard (90mm projection = 157mm overall).

Sashes are manufactured with a 15mm x 42mm wide glazing rebate which meets NHBC regulations, and allows for the factory fitted 24mm toughened glazing units. Glazing beads are standard 12mm x 15mm, and the sill bead comes complete with nylon spacers fitted to provide a drained and vented glazing system. All externally beaded factory glazed units carry a 10 year manufactures guarantee. Factory fitted 24mm toughened glazing conforms to BS952: Part 1: 1995; BS5713: 1994 and BS6206: Class A: 1994 or BSEN12600.

Vent windows are tested for weather tightness and meet the requirements of BS6375: Part 1: 2004 for severe weather rating. Brown weather strips are fitted as standard to crate a watertight seal. Storm-proof butt hinges are supplied as standard with reflex hinge upgrades available.

Imperial factory toughened glass windows are supplied with ventilators to assist in compliance with section F1 1995 Building Regulations. Ventilators are white and easily removed for decorating. Please note 438mm wide vent windows have no ventilators.
