This range of Secured by Design casement windows are are manufactured by PREMDOR who have been approved by the UK police flagship initiative Secured by Design and built to Police preferred specification and feature factory glazed laminated glass to the outer pane to provide additional security for vulnerable windows, the inner pane is toughened LowE glass. This range of side hung sash windows without top vents fitted with, reflex hinges, hinge locks, and anti-lift blocks, Espagnolette locking systems are fitted as standard and locate into keep assemblies at the top and bottom of the frame. All timber used in the manufacture of Design 24 secure windows conforms to BSEN942: 1996 for classification of timber as follows: Class J10 for beads. Class J40 for sashes. Class J50 for frames. Design 24 casement windows are manufactured in general accordance with BS644: Part 1: 2003 for construction specification.

All softwood materials used are environmentally accredited 100% European Softwood. Manufacturing takes place in a factory with environmental Chain Of Custody certificate SA-COC-1483.

All timber is vacuum preservative treated and come with a 30 year manufactures warranty against rot and fungal decay. All arises (corners) are rounded to ensure even coverage of finishing coats. Casement windows are tested for weather tightness and meet the requirements of BS6375: Part 1: 2004 for severe weather rating. Brown weather strips are fitted as standard to crate a watertight seal.

High security laminated toughened glass windows are supplied with ventilators to assist in compliance with section F1 1995 Building Regulations. Ventilators are white and easily removed for decorating.
