Built-In Double Ovens
This category of built-in double ovens are generally around 90cm tall and designed to be installed in an 60cm wide appliance housing as they are too tall to fit under a standard worktop.
Built-in double ovens are ideal for installation at eye-level and generally feature a large main oven of up to 70 litres, and a smaller capacity oven of up to 35 litres which usually doubles up as a grill, a good grill will spread the heat wide and evenly across the grill.
Some built-in double ovens have grills in both ovens for extra flexibility. Most double ovens feature fan assist in the main oven that helps to distribute heat more evenly and reduces cooking times, some top end models feature a fan in both ovens and are ideal for the busy cook.
Multifunction double ovens offer more control over how the oven is heated and can provide the perfect cooking conditions by selecting a combination of heat from the top and bottom of the oven, the grill and the fan.
Built-in double ovens are available in a wide range of finishes. Stainless steel is by far the most popular, black glass glossy models are also very popular while the cheaper models generally feature an enamel finish. |
